  • Female Siberian Husky: 35.3-50.7 pounds (16.0-23.0 kg)

Head (Skull, Face, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Muzzle, Lips, Jaw/Teeth):

  • Skull: Moderate size, proportionate to the body; slightly rounded from the widest point to the eyes.
  • Stop: Clearly defined.
  • Nose: Gray with black, brown, or black and copper tones; a “snow nose” with pink stripes is acceptable in pure white dogs.
  • Muzzle: Medium length and width, gradually tapering toward the nose; straight nasal bridge.
  • Lips: Naturally colored and tight.
  • Jaw/Teeth: Tight closure, scissor bite.
  • Eyes: Almond-shaped, moderately spaced, slightly slanted; brown or blue, or one of each, or mixed colors.
  • Ears: Medium-sized, triangular, set high on the head; well-furred, carried erect with slightly rounded tips.

Body (Neck, Chest, Back, Loin, Ribs, Forequarters, Skin):

  • Neck: Moderate length, arched, standing erect when the dog is alert, extending forward slightly when trotting.
  • Chest: Deep, strong, not too wide, with the deepest point just behind the elbows and level with them.
  • Back: Slightly arched, strong, pointed at the top, straight and upward-pointing.
  • Loin: Taut, sloping, narrower than the chest, slightly arched.
  • Ribs: Well-spread from the spine, slightly flattened for ease of movement.

Limbs (Forequarters, Shoulders, Upper Arms, Elbows, Pasterns, Hindquarters, Thighs, Hocks, Joints, and Feet):

  • Forequarters: When viewed from the front, legs are appropriately spaced, parallel, and straight; good bone without heaviness.
  • Shoulders: Shoulder blades slope backward; upper arms slope slightly, not perpendicular to the ground.
  • Elbows: Close to the body, neither turned in nor out.
  • Pasterns: Strong but flexible; slightly sloping when viewed from the side.
  • Hindquarters: When viewed from the rear, hind legs are appropriately spaced, parallel, and straight.
  • Thighs: Well-muscled and strong.
  • Hocks: Well-defined, close to the ground.
  • Feet: Oval but not long; compact, with well-furred toes and pads; neither turned in nor out.

Tail:

  • Fox-brush tail, well-furred, set just below the level of the back. When alert, it may be raised over the back, forming a sickle curve. At rest, it may hang down.

Gait/Movement:
The typical gait of the Siberian Husky is smooth and effortless, with a light and agile stride. When trotting, the dog exhibits a natural extension of the forequarters and strong drive from the hindquarters. The backline remains firm and flat.

Disqualifications:
Any deviation from the mentioned points is considered a defect. Any dog showing obvious abnormalities in body structure or behavior is disqualified. Other disqualifications include a heavy or coarse skull, insufficient stop, overly long or short muzzle, incorrect bite, slanted or too close-set eyes, overly short or thick neck, weak or sloping back, too wide chest, barrel chest, flat or weak ribs, tightly curled tail, improper placement of the tail, straight shoulders, weak forequarters, legs too narrow or too wide, outward-turning elbows, soft or splayed toes, overly large or heavy claws, overly small or weak claws, splayed or turned-in toes, excessively long, coarse, or fluffy coat, coat texture too coarse or too fine, and any unauthorized alterations.
