  • Height:
    • Males: 20.9-24.0 inches (53.0-61.0 cm) at the withers
    • Females: 18.9-20.9 inches (48.0-53.0 cm) at the withers
  • Weight Range:
    • Males: 45.2-66.2 pounds (20.5-30.0 kg)
    • Females: 35.3-45.2 pounds (16.0-20.5 kg)
  • Head (Skull, Face, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Lips, Muzzle, Cheeks, Teeth):
    • Skull: Wedge-shaped, broad, slightly arched but not round or apple-shaped.
    • Eyes: Dark brown, deeper colors preferred, well-set and almond-shaped.
    • Ears: Strong, thick, triangular and slightly rounded, covered in abundant fur.
    • Nose: Ideally black, but brown, liver, or charcoal gray acceptable.
    • Lips: Black preferred, with upturned corners resembling a smile.
    • Muzzle: Moderate length, moderate width, slightly tapering towards the nose.
    • Teeth/Jaws: Strong, well-aligned, scissors bite.
  • Body (Neck, Chest, Ribs, Back and Loins, Forequarters, Skin):
    • Neck: Strong, muscular, arched, forming an elegant curve.
    • Chest: Deep, with ribs expanding from the spine and flattening towards the sides.
    • Back and Loins: Firm, slightly arched, with a proportionate length.
    • Forequarters: Parallel, straight, and strong, with well-arched toes.
    • Skin: Tight, with well-developed muscles.
  • Limbs (Forequarters, Shoulders, Upper Arms, Elbows, Pasterns, Feet, Hindquarters, Thighs, Hock Joints, Hocks, Joints and Hock Joints Nails):
    • Forequarters: Parallel, straight, and long enough to support the deep chest.
    • Shoulders: Long, sloping at a 45-degree angle, strong.
    • Hindquarters: Well-developed thighs, hock joints at a 45-degree angle.
    • Feet: Large, long, slightly spread toes with protective fur.
    • Thighs: Medium length, broad, well-muscled.
    • Hock Joints: Short, strong, vertical, and parallel.
  • Tail:
    • Moderate length, covered with long hair, carried curled over the back or to the side when alert, may hang down at rest.
  • Gait/Movement:
    • Light, agile, rhythmic, with a brisk and powerful stride. Hindquarters provide strong driving force.
  • Disqualifications:
    • Blue or yellow eyes.
    • Coat colors other than white, biscuit, light brown, or white with light brown.
    • Unsteady or unnatural gait.
    • Light bone structure.
    • Lack of strength in males or delicacy in females.
    • Scissors bite.
    • Soft ears.
    • Curled or twisted tail.
    • Low stature.
    • Very curved or weak hind legs.
    • Coat that is curly, short, long, soft, or hanging.
    • Unsociable behavior, difficult to approach.
