Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s double coat grooming method:

Firstly, use a slicker brush to untangle knots and remove loose hair adhering to the skin. This type of brush has metal tips that can easily comb through the hair. Brushing should be done gently to avoid stimulating the skin. After a few minutes of gentle brushing, a significant amount of loose fur will come off.

After removing the bulk of the dead hair, use a fine-tooth comb to tackle stubborn knots. Carefully comb through tangled areas, ensuring a smooth, untangled coat from head to tail. If you encounter knots, repeat the combing process until the area is smooth.

Following the first two steps, with loose fur removed and the coat untangled, the final step involves using a bristle brush. A good-quality brush with horsehair or pig bristles is necessary. This step enhances the shine of the outer layer of the dog’s coat.

Grooming is not only about removing dead hair or untangling knots; it also promotes and improves blood circulation on the skin surface, contributing to a healthier and shinier coat. Regular grooming also allows you to check the condition of the skin for any lumps or redness.
